May began on a real high supporting Thea Gilmore at The Assembly, in Leamington with special guest Dan Cassidy... thanks to Andrew Lock for the great review. Dan came over from Iceland to the UK for his tour with James Hickman and his Swing Quartet and I was privileged to support and sing with them. There was a full moon and magic in the air as Dan played with his Swing Quartet at the Moonshine Room with excellent musicians Remi Harris on guitar and Larry Melton on bass. The evening made even more special by the presence of Robert Plant.

Another inspiring gig was playing in my local village hall in Martley to raise funds for the Nora Parsons Day Centre, hosting the evening with Paul and Cath Mackie from the BBC. Thanks to Pat Simmons from Age Concern for inviting me to sing once again at their day centre.

Looking ahead to June, in between preparing to go into the studio to record my new album, I’ll be hosting Ian Parker at the Moonshine Room on June 22nd, and returning to my hometown South Wales to play with the Caerphilly Male Voice choir to raise money for St David’s Foundation. At the end of the month I’ll be double-billing with Kenny White – New York Singer-songwriter – at the Hatch in the idyllic countryside on June 29th, fresh from his appearance at Glastonbury. Hope to see you at a gig soon.
